My favourite band ever is Einstürzende Neubauten. They are currently on a tour to celebrate their 30 years anniversary as a band. The concert last Tuesday in Paris was filmed by television channel Arte and is now up for two months as a free broadcast on their web site:

I've got tickets to see both their Chicago shows next month and am really looking forward to it. I've heard of them forever, but only started listening to them a few years ago. It was actually sparked from being a Shearwater fan.

Back in 2007, on a music e-mail list I participate in, along with a list of their tour dates I posted a link to a couple live Shearwater videos, including Red Sea, Black Sea (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZSxSLfFmDc). Someone responded, "Are they touring with the Einstuerzende Neubauten drummer?" That's interesting. I listened to Neubauten before Shearwater. The first Shearwater song I heard was "Red Sea, Black Sea" - and I fell in love.

I have no doubt that Thor would do a great job making noise for Neubauten!
