Requesting a transcription from the Meiburgese.
Got this on Radio Store Day in April, but only now has the Austin Chron seen fit to review it, in some of the most inspissate description to annoy me lately. Sample: "Caressing her partner's otherworldy vocal billow [is that "bellow" an octave up?]"

I gave it a shot, I'm still iffy on a few bits.
a glorious light, a ladder along clouds a spire in the sun, a shout in the street below i climb down a white rope into a dark mouth
(three words?), a river below the lake i ride in the flood a dog with the chain removed til the morning rise, til my memory lies clean as a tear in the darkness, a hole in the light and i know where you are
i ride in the blood, i ride on the warming (1 word?) through canyons of sunlight and wars across the road i could have loved you enough if i fell in the right way through a tear in the darkness, a hole in the light i breathe in the silence, i live til i die

Thank you very much indeed; I had a few other guesses but maybe JM/Sub Pop will print lyrics again and this will tide me over until then.

Sounds right to me, but I think it's
"papered in dusk, a river below the lake" "till the morning arrives" "I ride in the blood, a ride on the warming rails through canyons of sunlight and wires across the road"
I have no idea what to make of the meaning, but I like the images.

Possibly "Ziggurat," a story by Stephen O'Connor?

Not convinced. But a great read.
