Hi All,
Imagine how pleased I was to hear today that the little literary event I've organized is going to be the subject tomorrow's on . "" brings together , who (much to my obsessively-minded delight) read the entire 21,730 pages of the Oxford English Dictionary, and , who writes on verbal blunders and language "super-learners," to discuss our complex and sometimes charmingly clumsy relationship to language. The event is at 7PM on Thursday, January 22, at (for those of you in the Hartford, Connecticut, area).
You can listen to the broadcast (hosted by the lovely John Dankosky) (
http://www.cpbn.org/program/where-we-live) tomorrow at 9AM EST. You will be able to download the episode later in the week. I plan on taping my head to the radio.
I thought some of you might be as nerdy as I am.
