I read this blurb on Boing Boing this morning.
A giant Golden Orb Weaver spider caught a chestnut-breasted mannikin bird in its web and made a leisurely lunch on the bird. The photo was snapped in a backyard in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. From the Cairns Post:

I saw a sunbird in Madagascar attack an orb-weaver in its web, rushing at it again and again until the spider (which was nearly the size of the bird) tumbled to the ground. The sunbird then gathered the remains of the web in its beak and flew away, presumably to build its nest. It was like watching a D&D-style encounter between a paladin and a dragon resting on its hoard.
