Hello all,

Just a little more information about the west coast tour - we're really excited about it, as we'll be touring with a deluxe 6-piece lineup featuring most of the cast of 'Winged Life', including Travis Weller on the world's loudest violin as well as me, Will, Kim, Thor, and Howard.

It'll be our first tour, so we're looking forward to seeing any of you who can come. We'll also have the tour-only Okkervil/Shearwater split CD available for sale, as well as spiffy Shearwater T-shirts and the records.

I'm working on the set list right now...any requests for songs you'd like us to play are welcome.

Also, if you live in any of the cities where we're playing and might be willing and able to house a six-piece band and their gear, let me know.

All best, J

Will you guys be playing much from the tour cd? I'd be really happy if I heard Mountain Laurel at one of the shows. Great song.

Yes, ML will likely be on the sets for the tour - provided we can learn enough songs in time! I've always enjoyed playing that song.

Some slow songs to set the mood and give the lovers a chance to dance...

An accident
Whipping Boy
Right to Cry
The World in 1984
Not Tonight

...Mixed with some more upbeat songs to keep the razor blades from our wrists...

My Good Dead
The Convert
A Makeover

That may be a lot, but it's what my playlist has looked like since you guys left and had me anticipating your return this Friday. Do what you can with that. Anything you play will be great.
