There's a promo video for the European tour out. There's an instrumental edit of You As You Were with some music-video looking video clips. Seems to match some photos Nicholas Kahn posted on Facebook. Also, it features Kim! Looking incredibly miserable, but still.

That's really nice, in a melancholic sort of way. I guess the implication is that the other figure is Thor.

The blood in the water is more literal than I would have expected -- though it's probably "blood."

Video is like Where the Wild Things Are meets the Seventh Seal (Chess scene especially). Some Black Sheep Boy imagery maybe there too, what do you think?
Beautifully shot, goes well with the Hidden Lakes Video. And I like it better than Breaking the Yearlings Video (which I can't believe got taken down, stupid Museum).
Shearwater continues to impress.

I thought Yearlings was incredible and the perfect imagery for the song and the band. (Some kind soul reposted it on YouTube. I'll do the same if it gets taken down again. You can download YouTube videos with keepvid. It doesn't seem to be malware...)
This is really nice, but more negative than the feeling I get from the song. I also don't think Shearwater sound monochromatic. Way better than videos for previous albums, though.

Holy crap! Keepvid is the best. Thanks so much for telling me.
The Yearlings video is actually ten times better on the downloaded version than on youtube for some reason i see more animal montages going on. Still like You As You Were vid better, just because the box headed animal costumes are too great.
Everything Shearwater does turns to gold.

The costumes reminded me of Mummenshanz, though I suppose Sendak's drawings are the proximate reference.

I don't post here much anymore, but I have to say: this is stunning!
