Hi,

I'm hoping to see Shearwater in Brighton, Leeds and Manchester next week (yes, I do have a problem). I'll be going with someone special to the first of the three but am short on pals for the other two gigs. If anyone from the Board fancies meeting up for a pint beforehand, then I'm open to offers. No lunatics or sex maniacs please.

Should be around the area before hand, will struggle to think of a suitable pub and post next week...

I'll be at the Leeds gig. There's a pub right next door to the Brudenel (can't remember its name) which is ok. I'll probably be in there with a couple of friends before the gig. How will we recognize you if you do come in?

Ah, the Royal Park. Haven't been in there for about 14 years. Sounds good. My friends say I look like James Corden or Shaun Murphy the snooker player; my Nan says I look like Chesney Hawkes. I'll wear my coat with a very hairy hood and look forward to seeing you in there, and to meeting Pat somewhere in Manchester. Cheers.

Manchester - meeting in the English Lounge (not great, not bad, real close) just after 8pm. Possibly wearing an Okkervil t-shirt if the washing's been done. Otherwise, I'll be the one with the pint.

Richie - sorry I didn't see you, I was there, but my car broke down on the way so I was late and had to go straight to the gig. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did (again). They even played Hail Mary for me as the encore. I hate people who shout out the songs they want played, but I was buoyed by a few pints and decided it felt like it was my time. When they played it, it felt like it was my birthday.

Pat - I'm just off to find out if my car has been fixed in time for the dash across the M62 later. If it hasn't then forgive my absence.

Cheers
