I've been absolutely obsessed with OR ever since I found out about them 4 months ago. Nothing has spent more time in my CD player than my two OR cd's. However, I have unfortunately not heard anything of Shearwater's. Does the fact that I love OR automatically mean I will love Shearwater, or is it possible that I wouldn't? I'm in Madison and even though I haven't heard their stuff, I can't wait to see them out here Oct. 22.

As for your question...especially considering their component parts, OR and SW are VERY different bands. It all depends on your taste. Personally I love both

If you love OR you will adore Shearwater as well. I can't seen to even separate them myself. It just seems like one big, wonderful, fucktastic band to me.
