Shearwater's Daytrotter session is finally up. A nice print interview and five songs recorded at their studios (including an unreleased one called Fierce Little Lark).

"I re-recorded [Fierce Little Lark] for a charity 7â€

That upright bass sound is so rich! It's shaking my desk through my little computer speakers. Can this guy engineer your next album?

These recording are lovely.
I'm sure I'm keeping people up by listening to them quite loudly at three in the morning but I just don't care.

Fierce Little Lark. It almost made me cry and if I were in a more emotionally unstable mood I would have. This song was made for late nights in a dark room with your eyes closed.

So, Jonathan (or anyone else who knows) can you tell us more about this 7"? Is it available? From whom?

I hope to be able to make an announcement about this soon... currently waiting on circumstances beyond my control.

Three-year bump cuz "Fierce Little Lark" is elysian and possessed and I want to "hear the wind in the trees swelling and subsiding" within it. Will give to charity, and try to love my fellow man as best I can.

Its old one at this stage but is there any chance we might see that daytrotter session released in all its glory ? Many or most of the sessions are available in a lossless format through their Shack. I can't believe I am the only person who thinks 'Fierce Little Lark' is one if not the best that Shearwater have ever recorded...

I'd certainly like to see it, though I'm not too fussy about lossy encoding at decent rates. The version of Nobody is particularly striking.
