Hello, again.

First, I have to say that I've been overwhelmed by the response I've gotten on this. My astonished and deep thanks to everyone who has offered me assistance of all kinds. It really makes me want to come out and see you all again soon (which should happen in Oct/November). But I also should say that I'm not about to take money from any of you, except when you buy records or come to shows! Maybe someday I'll put together a little limited-edition CD or something to sell through here...I dunno.

Second, however, I'm afraid that the tone of my note may have been a little too desperate. I am not in danger of not being able to eat, or anything like that! And I do have other guitars that I can play. Part of the problem with the one I'm selling is that it's sort of too nice to take on tour, and so I can only play it at home and in recording - and I won't be doing any new SW recording for a couple of months. So although I am sorry to let it go, it's not going to stop me from playing, or recording, or going on tour, or any of the stuff I need to do in order to remain a working musician.

Thanks for the notes about guitar appraisal - I've looked online etc. and I think that, upon reflection, I should raise the price to $1100, which is still very reasonable.

I hope all of you are well, and many thanks again.

J

Good to hear that the situation isn't as dire as we'd thought. I hope you get a good price for the guitar, and I hope you guys come through Chapel Hill again this fall.
